This styled shoot combines the elopement wedding mood with the traditions of New Year’s Eve for an elegant celebration. Let’s face it: micro-weddings and intimate elopements are the new normal however, we don’t have to sacrifice substance, elegance or even fun while swapping our lavish galas for intimate soirées.
Inspired by the love of all things fashion, this editorial was designed for the modern bride who likes to keep things sophisticated — until the countdown, at least! Toronto’s One King West Hotel was the perfect backdrop for this shoot; built in 1914, the hotel combines a regal beaux-arts style with modern features, allowing for some spectacular images as confetti, champagne and a fabulous bathtub made for an unforgettable evening.
The shoot was photographed by Liza Litvinovich, who also led the session’s creative direction. The bride wore the show stopping textural Vienna gown, designed by Narces - a combination of organza and feathers that took our breath away. Real-life couple Victoria and Vova had their hair and make-up done by Alesya Denisyuk, who complemented the elegant gown with a bold red lip and a sleek bun for the bride.
The team wanted to highlight that these types of celebrations are all about focussing on what matters most when it comes to getting married - you don’t need an enormous team of professionals and hundreds of guests (as much as we miss that!) to create something sophisticated, chic and fun.
